Appeals for Admission

The UP Open University is open for appeals for reconsideration to applicants whose UP Predicted Grade (UPG) is 2.800 or better. 

Please be informed that the appeals period for UPOU will be open from 26 June to 03 July 2026 through this Google Form. Please note that only applicants with a UPG of 2.800 or better may appeal for reconsideration.

Kindly take note of the following dates:

  • 26 June – 03 July 2026 – Submission of appeals
  • 06-17 July 2026 – Processing of appeals
  • 20 July 2026 – Release of appeal results via email by the Admissions Unit of the UPOU Registrar’s Office
  • 07 – 19 September 2026 – Enrollment for the 1st Trimester AY 2026-2027 via the UPOU Online Registration System

Please be informed that the UPG declared in the form shall be verified with the UP Office of Admissions. Please refrain from following up on the status of your appeal before 20 July 2026. Please ensure that the email addresses indicated in the form are active, as all updates regarding your appeal shall be sent through those addresses.

Successful UPCAT Qualifiers to UPOU

Successful UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) qualifiers to UPOU are senior high school students or graduates who have chosen and confirmed to study at UPOU under the BAMS and BES programs and have passed the most recent UPCAT. 

Please be informed that we have yet to receive the list of confirmed UPCAT qualifiers from the UP Office of Admissions. In the meantime, please prepare the following requirements:

  1. Original Gr. 12 Form 138 (Report Card)
  2. Original Senior High School Form 137
  3. Original PSA birth certificate

Please note that additional requirements will be included in the welcome letter that will be sent via email by the Admission Section. UPCAT qualifiers are also required to complete the online Distance Education Readiness Module (DERM). The information about the DERM will be included in the email. 

Issuance of the University Admission Notices: August 2026

Registration Period: 7-19 September 2026

Admission to UPOU Associate Programs

For those non-UPCAT qualifiers or those who did not meet the 2.800 or better UPG requirement for appeals may still apply for admission to any of the Associate Programs below offered by UPOU:

  1. Associate in Arts (AA)
  2. Associate of Science in Instructional Design and Technology (ASIDT)
  3. Associate of Arts in Digital Design and Art (AADDA)
  4. Associate of Science in Information Technology (ASIT)
  5. Associate of Arts in Digital Entrepreneurship (AADE)

Deadline for submission of applications: 30 May 2026

Undergraduate Admission Test (UgAT): 25 July 2026 

Registration Period: 7-19 September 2026

Start of Classes: 21 September 2026
