Application for Honorable Dismissal
An Honorable Dismissal (HD) is specifically granted to a student who voluntarily withdraws from the University while maintaining good standing in terms of character and conduct. It serves as a certification that the student has no pending accountabilities with the University.
How to Apply for Honorable Dismissal:
Step 1. Log in to the Student Portal and apply for University Clearance.
- Select “Honorable Dismissal” as the reason for clearing.
- Attach the following documents:
- Signed letter addressed to the University Registrar stating the reason(s) for withdrawing from the program
- Valid government-issued ID
Step 2. Wait for the email notification confirming whether your clearance has been approved.
Step 3. Once the University Clearance is approved, you may request Honorable Dismissal and monitor the status of your request via AIMS.
Note: A student who has been granted an Honorable Dismissal may no longer re-enroll in their previous program. However, they may apply for admission to another UPOU program through the Online Application System (OAS).
